Biography

Dr. Brett McBride joined Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls Community Hospital, and Blackfoot Medical Center as a General Surgeon, with clinic days in Idaho Falls and Blackfoot in 2022. Dr. McBride brings extensive expertise in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, with a focus on biliary procedures, gastrointestinal tract surgeries—including anti-reflux surgery—colon cancer, rectal-anal conditions, hernias, breast cancer, thyroid surgery, acute care, and trauma surgery. He is also skilled in performing colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
Dr. McBride earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Idaho State University and subsequently graduated from the Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Washington. He completed his surgical residency at the Mountain Vista Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program in Mesa, Arizona. He is a member of both the American Osteopathic Association and the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. McBride enjoys spending time with his family: Kelsie, Carter, and Boston, running, hiking, reading, board games and skiing.
